Championship Labs Instagram intern (@championship.labs)

October 2022 - May 2024
During my time at UConn - amidst my search for ways to get closer to Barstool - I was hired as an intern for the school's NIL social media program. The program, Championship Labs, is similar to Barstool in that it provides resources and a platform to student-athletes looking to get into social media, most often for the purposes of securing and fulfilling brand deals.
Whilst at Championship Labs, I wore many hats (similar to the tape-map of America that resides in the "The Yak" studio). I led the creative brainstorming process of content creation; filmed content shoots; was a member of the editing/production team; and dealt with the scheduling, final cuts, and posting of content.

"'Everyone look at me! I love PMT! Pwease wet me be an intern! I'll give it my all!' Spare me with that corny shit, you're a freak for putting yourself out there." That's what I imagine people say about me when they see I'm delusional enough to think I could make a TikTok account that would catch the attention of the 3rd-5th biggest podcast in Spotify history (per a recent report). But nevertheless, I've gone and done it.
In early December, upon hearing PMT bring up their intentions to bring in another summer intern, I began posting a video a day about the show in hopes that I'd have a decent body of work come hiring season. Several weeks in I posted a video titled "Explaining Pardon My Take to someone who's never listened". It blew up, Hank commented and reposted, it blew up more, and I began building an army of fellow AWLs.

KFC Radio recurring voicemails
September 2021 - present
One of my initial efforts to begin building a presence in the Barstool world was a largely successful one. Over the past four years, I've had several dozen voicemails played on the show, much to the enjoyment of the hosts. It's been said the voicemail segment's logo should be a "G" in my honor, KFC's said he wants to hire me, I've been compared to Joey Chestnut in the light of being an "American hero", and I've had my delivery and personality respectfully glazed.
I feel comfortable making such a bold claim, as I took the learning curve to the teeth when I first started. Long story short: I initially didn't show myself in my videos (thank heavens) and made the mistake of lacking succinctness, at which time I learned the lesson to keep things as short as possible as KFC called me the "most boring person alive". As opposed to letting it beat me down, I adjusted, continued submitting voicemails, began proudly baring my face, and humbly haven't missed since.

After I did not get an internship last year despite having connections and experience, I concluded that the only box left unchecked was an audience. I then created this account in an attempt to build one. I have since amassed several thousand followers by treating the account as a mystery box of my own interests and quirks: golf, fantasy football, Harry Potter audiobooks, friends, family, laughter, and occasionally reigning Finals MVP Jaylen Brown.

Championship Labs Baseball/Softball Instagram (@championshiplabsdiamond)
June 2023 - May 2024
During the latter half of my tenure at Championship Labs, I was tasked with creating a separate Instagram account under the CLabs umbrella that specifically focused on baseball and softball (similar to Barstool's Foreplay or Spittin Chiclets for golf and hockey respectively). I was given creative control of the account (for the most part) and began making satirical content about the teams, the best of which coming in the form of Sundae Conversation-style interviews with the softball team. I greatly valued the time I put into this account, as I was getting paid to make creative and funny content about a topic of interest. The dream!
